Many Gen Z consumers want convenient coffee options, but struggle to find brands that are both affordable and ethically sourced.

To address this, I designed a subscription-based instant coffee brand focused on fair trade sourcing and accessibility. Gen Z values inclusive, trendy, and eco-conscious consumer brands. With this in mind, Stellar Bean promises organically grown coffee that is also fair trade certified and has a delicious, coffee shop taste. These qualities make Stellar Bean stand out in a sea of coffee brands that fail to meet these certifications.
There is a clear opportunity for an instant coffee brand that combines café-level flavor with transparent, fair trade practices and thoughtful inclusivity, including a decaf option for those sensitive to caffeine. The challenge was to reposition instant coffee as premium and values-driven, while creating a bold, engaging identity that would stand out in a saturated coffee market.
